Speaker: Kerri Joffe, Human rights lawyer at ARCH Disability Law Centre
Kerri has been involved in disability rights litigation at various tribunals and courts, including the Supreme Court of Canada and presented law reform and policy submissions about disability law issues to legislative committees, governments, administrative bodies and the United Nations Committee on the rights of Persons with Disabilities.
In this session, Kerri will share with us barriers to access to justice for persons with disabilities in Canada and civil society-led initiatives to enhance access to justice. She will also discuss intersectional feminist lenses in legal advocacy addressing discrimination against women with disabilities.
